Environment:
Found in intensively metamorphosed dolomites and limestones enriched in galena, sphalerite and pyrite. Surite series.

Locality:
Tekeli Pb-Zn mine (now abandoned) is located in southeast Kazakhstan, 44° N, 78° E, near the village of Tekeli. Link to MinDat.org Location Data.
Name Origin:
Named in honor of Prof. Nikolai Grigorievich Sergiev (1901-1960), a Soviet geologist, for his contributions to the geology of Kazakhstan.
