Comments: Replacement-textured magnesian chromian spinel (dark gray, CHR) infiltrated by hawthorneite (H, medium gray). B&W polished section, PPL with oil immersion. (AmMin, v74:668).
Location: Metasomatized, harzburgitic xenolith from a diamondiferous kimberlite pipe in Kimberley, South Africa. Scale: See Image.
